Spor Motor Tests and Reference Data as a Starting Point for Athlete Care

Introduction: Baseline screenings facilitate individualized athlete care by providing valuable data for performance enhancement, prevention, and evidence-based rehabilitation. The lack of transferability and reference values, however, hinders their application in youth sports.   Methods: The study uses the ""Moticon ReGo"" system, which employs wireless sensor insoles to measure plantar pressure distribution and inertial sensor data. Data is collected from a diverse group of athletes, and the methodology includes specific test protocols and data processing to ensure validity and reliability.   Results: Preliminary results from the study highlight the system’s capacity to identify specific areas of deficit. For example, in one case, the system identified a basketball player's low reactive strength index, suggesting a need for targeted plyometric training.   Discussion: The findings indicate that sensor-based measurements can effectively inform training and injury prevention strategies. The establishment of a comprehensive reference database promises to enhance the objectivity and effectiveness of athlete management.
