The typical range of the wireless connection between Moticon sensor insoles and a mobile phone or tablet is 10m (~32ft) in a free space.
The quality and completeness of the transmitted sensor data does not depend on the wireless link quality as long as a connection can be established. Lost data packages are resent. However, realtime capabilities are affected as a drop of the wireless link quality leads to an increased data transmission delay.
These factors may influence the range of the wireless connection:
- Other Bluetooth and 2.4GHz devices
- Performance of the mobile phone or tablet
- Bluetooth Low Energy standard on the mobile phone or tablet
- Walls and other obstacles
