Description

The 15 Seconds Treadmill Run test is a sub-maximal run test over a period of 15 seconds. It involves an individual running on a treadmill. The speed and inclination can be adjusted to adhere to different test purposes. For step test at different speeds or inclinations, the test can be repeated. Running characteristics are assessed for the entire period. The goal is to perform a normal run, similar to real life conditions.

Prepare
  • Make sure treadmill is ready to start
  • Stand next to the treadmill

Treadmill Initiation

Start the treadmill and run steady

Start
  • Continue running on START
  • Run at your normal speed without stumbling

Running Period
  • Keep running for 15 seconds
  • Do not talk and focus on running

Stop
  • Listen to the countdown while keeping running
  • Continue running on STOP
  • The test is completed
  • Stop the treadmill
